It has been noted elsewhere that in the Unit during the early days of using the sand trays it was necessary to accommodate as many as six children in the room. This meant that there was at times a significant demand for trays and as a result there was a gradual increase in the number provided. The photograph below shows one end of the room and I think this is a good illustration of how it looked at that time.




The bundle of original Talk and Draws from the Day Unit
The original Talk and Draw sheets from the Day unit were rolled into a large bundle over twenty years ago and wrapped in blue plastic. Most of them had however been photocopied reduced in size and used for training and other purposes. In the past I have been reluctant to throw the bundle out and have not yet decided whether or not to keep it this time around
